Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education
The Departments of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education were first opened by the Higher Education Institution (YÖK) in 1998 within the framework of the restructuring of the faculties of education. The Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education was opened in the 1998-1999 academic year. Education began in the 2005-2006 academic year by admitting the first students to the undergraduate department. The main aim of the department is to train Computer and Instructional Technologies Teachers for primary and secondary education by providing undergraduate education in computers and other information technologies. Graduates of the Department of Computer and Instructional Technologies Education can work as teachers, instructional technologists, and academics in the relevant departments of universities in state and private status schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey.
The aim of the department is to train leader individuals who can use information technologies effectively in every environment, take on roles as educational technologists, information technology experts, educational technology consultants, master current and innovative information and communication technologies for the formation of the information society, and effectively integrate these technologies into education.
The vision of the department is to train qualified individuals who can make positive contributions to individuals' lives and closely follow technology.
The academic staff of the department consists of 4 associate professors, 1 doctor faculty member, and 1 research assistant doctor.
